Gary
Public TransportationThe Gary buses are express buses which do not stop at anything other than their planned destination points. To cooperate with the GPT, please transfer at the Hammond Dan Rabin Transit Plaza onto a Northbound Route 1 Hammond Transit Bus to the church.
South
Lake Express
Lowell, Cedar Lake, and Crown Point communities can link up with the Northbound Gary Public Transportation Corporation (GPTC) bus system at the Lake County Government Center in Crown Point, Indiana at 93rd and Main Street. The GPTC goes to the Dan Rabin Transit Plaza in Hammond. Transfer from the GPTC to the Northbound Hammond Transit bus to Chicago when arriving at the Dan Rabin Transit Plaza. The Northbound Hammond bus will directly pass Saint Margaret Mary Church.
Please take the ECPT bus westbound to White Oak Avenue. Depart the bus and walk south on White Oak Avenue along the Bishop Noll Institute Campus to Hoffman Street. Take Hoffman Street west past the Bishop Noll Institute Campus and the Albertine Home to the Church.
Transfer in Chicago (South Side/East Side) to the Hammond Transit Bus Route 1 southbound directly to the church. CTA runs buses and trains.
