Diocesan Response to Racism Paraphernalia Distributed in Bulletin"We have all been influenced by the effects of racism. It is a part of our culture. It is a part of our conditioning. It is something in which we all participate to a greater or lesser degree. It is something which is destructive of the quality of human life not only for those who suffer the effects of racism but for those who perpetrate it." -- Most Reverend Dale J. Melczek, Bishop of Gary, from his pastoral letter to the diocese.
